George B. ZEISET's father was also George ZEISET, and he also emmigrated from Germany to Lancaster Co., PA. George Sr. (1793-1861) married about 1814 at Hochstedt Hof, Elizabeth BAER. Neither George nor Elizabeth's parents have been proven. However, a family that resides currently at Hochstedt Hof said they were related to these BAER'S, so it is probable she came from that area.
George Sr. was ordained to the ministry in Germany about 1822. George Jr. arrrived in America a few years before his father. George Sr. arrived here in 1853, aged 59; with him were his son Henry, daughter Elizabeth and grandson Henry SMITH (although I suspect his surname was actually SCHMIDT).
George Sr. was a circuit riding minister for both Mellinger's and Landis Valley Mennonite Churches. He is buried at Mellinger's Mennonite Cemetery, as are a number of other ZEISET'S from this family;as well as some that I have not placed firmly in the family yet. They do appear to be related, however. Also related are some who are listed in the 1870 census as having worked for George Jr, on his farm in Terre Hill, Lancaster Co., PA. They were born in Germany, except for one child who was born in PA in 1858.
George Sr. and Elizabeth (BAER) ZEISET had the following children born in Germany:
George Jr. and Martha (MARTIN) ZEISET and their children:
George B. ZEISET's mother was a Baer and I note that John ZEISSET had a wife named BEHR. I wonder if these wives were related.

PS. Your page looks really good and gave me some interesting insight into the arrival of the other ZEISSETT/ZEISET/ZEISETT/ZEISSET/ZEISERT families.
